About the job
Sheet metal and steel manufacturing is a very rich field for mechanical technicians and engineers to work on. Working with Geopetrol Industrial S.R.L., a service company that provides
solutions for mining industry, my main goal was to optimize the manufacturing process by taking to most out of each sheet metal and reducing cutting time
through optimized CNC routines.
Among other projects, I worked on the redesign of safety work lift platforms and cages, being able to participate in every
step of the process, from design to manufacturing. Seeing the model come to life gives the experience a whole new taste, because in the end that is what engineering
is all about, creating new things.
