About 3D Printing

3D printing has shorten the gap between manufacturing and consumers, allowing people to stimulate their creative impulse. Open source technology and makers communities have started to redefine not only the relationship between users and manufactured products, but also the way information and tools are shared. Trying to find out how things work is what drove me towards 3D printing, since one has to assembly, test and configure the printer to get it up and running. This is what makes you the owner of the machine, not the mere fact of having acquired it. It is truly yours because you can tweak it and see what works, what does not and what can be improved. And it does not only circumscribes to the machine itself, but also extends to an infinite number of objects that we can modify, whether to improved its design or even to redefine its purpose. 3D printing opens the doors to "Hacker Land" where we can expand our limits acknowledging that one problem has many possible solutions, and if we get stucked along the way, there is a whole community to turn to.
On top, you can see a few examples of the things I managed to manufacture. Some of them are available to download from my GrabCAD or Thingiverse accounts.
