About the job
The project was part of a unit revamp at a natural gas fractioning plant and consisted in the replacement of two amine heat exchangers and their associated piping systems (drains, pressure relief and instrument lines). In order to assure an equal flow rate in both heat exchanger, which operate in parallel, the main product lines were re-routed to obtain a symmetric piping configuration. In addition, a piping stress analysis was performed to guarantee a proper piping design and keep the nozzle loads below the limits specified by the manufacturer. I was in charge of the design, pipe routing, 3D modeling of equipment, as well as generation and monitoring of deliverables.
